Center for Enamel Art volunteers were present in many places doing outreach during the Enamelist Society Conference which was held this past month in Beverly, MA. Two of our volunteers, Zhou Zoe Yuan and Gail Reid gave the Center a special boost by being given very special cash awards, called the People’s Choice awards, during the Instant Gallery at the conference.  Harlan Butt was the third recipient of the award. The IG, as it is called, gives conference attendees the opportunity to introduce their work to peers or show new work. The awards were made possible through a contribution by the San Diego Enamel Guild in honor of the late Shirley Lichtman, one of the guild’s founders.
